Weston turns 1!

My little baby is gone.  It's official with a number now, but in reality I feel like he wasn't a baby for long at all.  His actual birthday was on a Sunday so we opened presents before church then just went to church.  We did a party with the Carter side of the family one week and a party with the Bruce side of the family the next since we were celebrating his birthday and Landon's at the same time.  He had a great birthday, had lots of fun, got lots of great/fun presents, and enjoyed his cake (yay!!).  How we love this boy!

A few things about Weston right now:
*He has 9 teeth.
*He loves his brother.
*He's a great sleeper (goes to bed about 7:00 p.m. and sleeps until 6:00 a.m. or slightly after).
*He loves, loves, loves bath time.
*He's very oral--if he can lift something then there's a good chance it's going in his mouth (toys, clothes, spoons, toothbrush, grass, dirt, leaves, flowers, etc. have all gone in his mouth).  He also shoves his fingers down his throat and makes himself gag all the time.
*He still likes his binky, and I still give it to him in the day for the sole purpose of keeping everything else out of his mouth.
*He is very stoic around people--you usually have to work hard to get him to smile.
*He's very happy when he's just around his immediate family.
*He has a sweet tooth.
*He loves the outdoors.
*He loves to climb.
*He walks all over if he's holding onto something (wall, furniture, his toys, people, etc) but only dares to take a few without help....and he's been like this for a couple months, silly boy.
*When he's unhappy with something or being impatient he pushes his lips out (like an open-mouthed pucker) and pants.  To really get his point across he will bounce his body and kick his legs.
*He thinks it's really awesome when I open the gate and let him play on the stairs.  He also thinks it's awesome to ride in a cart in the little seat part.
